Practice System: Cloud based systems are desirable – Xero or Quickbooks.

Staff: A retiring owner will to do a 12-24 month handover is desirable and my client can retain a small team of staff if efficient.

Additional Points: Partner lead practice, lead partner sitting on the CIMA council and on the board of the association, can add 30% to the value of the clients through the provision of various other services.

Preferred Purchase Method: Valuations typically to 1.3x recurring fees preferably structured with 1/3 up front followed by two further payments over 12 to 24 months, potentially less for a smaller practice.
